ProfitVane ("the App") is operated by Vertex AI Holdings LLC ("we", "us"). The App provides profit and retention analytics to Shopify merchants. This policy describes what data we process and how.

Data we collect from your store

Order data: order totals, discounts, refunds, shipping charged, taxes, line-item quantities and unit costs, and order dates.
Product data: product cost per item ("COGS").
Customer identifiers: an opaque Shopify customer ID, used only to group orders into repeat-purchase cohorts. We do not collect or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or shipping/billing addresses.
Merchant settings: cost assumptions and ad spend amounts you enter in the App.

How we use it

Solely to compute and display analytics (profit, margins, cohorts, LTV, alerts) to you, the merchant. We do not sell data, share it with third parties for marketing, train AI models on it, or use it for any purpose other than operating the App.

Storage & security

Data is stored encrypted at rest in a Postgres database (Neon, AWS us-east-1) and transmitted over TLS. Access is restricted to App infrastructure and the operator.

Retention & deletion

Uninstalling the App deletes all of your store's data automatically.
We honor Shopify's GDPR webhooks: customer-redact requests remove the customer identifier from stored orders; shop-redact requests delete all shop data.
You can request deletion any time at support@profitvane.com.

Cookies

The App uses only the session cookies required by Shopify's embedded-app framework. This marketing site sets no tracking cookies.
